Training

The Salvation Army has developed a highly respected training program that includes courses on all five key services and ranges in topics from beginner to expert.  EDS workers must complete the necessary training for their chosen service area.

Learning Management

The Western Territory EDS is pleased to offer a variety of learning environments to meet your learning styles and preferences:

  • In-person: traditional classroom-based learning led by a qualified facilitator; all courses are available in the traditional format
  • Virtual: online via Microsoft Teams and led by a qualified facilitator; selected courses will be offered virtually
  • Online: self-paced, self-led courses available through our learning management system; selected courses will be available online
  • Hybrid: a combination of in-person/virtual and online; selected courses will be available in a hybrid offering
